General
Are pets allowed at tournament sites?
No, pets are not permitted at
our complex.
Can I use my club's Medical Release form?
No, you are required to submit the Illinois Medical Release Form. The medical release form does not need to be notarized and copies of insurance cards do not need to be attached.
Can my Club's teams all stay in one hotel property?
We will do our best to accommodate such requests. Make sure that when you apply and communicate with our Hotel Facilitator that you make note that you want to be placed together with a specific group, or team. We cannot make any guarantees but will strive to honor your requests.
Can our team register at the field on Saturday morning?
Sorry...registration is done on Friday evening ONLY.
Do I have to use the Tournament's Hotel Facilitator?
Yes. The Region II Invitational provides this service to assist teams in getting placed in an appropriate property, particularly for teams who are not familiar with the area.
Does your tournament offer a "C" division?
The Region II Invitational is a higher-level competitive soccer event and, as such, provides the best soccer experience for Elite, Premier, "A" & very strong "B" teams. We recognize that our friends at the lower "B" and at all "C" levels also want these same advantages and we have another Spring Tournament (Lincoln Land Invitational), that are better suited to provide them with this level of play.

The Region II Invitational is a premier level event.
Has my team been accepted?
Once the majority of accepted teams confirm their participation with us, you will be able to search for accepted teams by division, by selecting from the drop down menu and clicking on See Teams
How are weather situations handled?
For more detailed information, you can check our "Inclement Weather Policy"...see the link on the left rail.

Generally, however, we err greatly on the side of caution as it relates to the safety of our guests. When threatened by severe weather, games and game completion become unimportant as they relate to safety.
How can I get a copy of your USYSA Application to Host Form?
Please check our web page under the team log in box, Application to Host Form. This is a PDF form that can be printed and mailed in to your State Association.
How do I get the medical, release and guest player forms?
If you need duplicate forms, you should log in to your team application using your TEAM ID NUMBER (starts with SASA####) and you will see a box labeled "Get Duplicate Forms" under the header Team Acceptance Status Information. When you click on that box a screen with the form links will appear.
How do you bracket your teams?
Teams accepted into the Region II Invitational are bracketed in a number of ways with the overall goal of providing the most competitive soccer weekend possible for each division. Many teams suggest the division in which they would like to compete, but it is the overall competitiveness and record of the teams applying for that age level that drives placement.

Elite, Premier and very strong "A" teams are bracketed together based upon a number of criteria...criteria that will offer outstanding play for all. Some "A" teams may be bracketed with strong "B" level teams according to the same criteria.

Recent league play, strength of league, performance in State Cup/regionals/nationals, preformance in other top-level tournaments, ranking by NSR, geography, and other criteria go in to our bracketing decisions.

The Tournament Director reserve the right to modify these guidelines where indicated, again, to provide the maximum competitive brackets.
I am not getting emails from the tournament or I get some confirmations for a few of my teams and then they quit coming. Is the system broken?
Our system is not broken, but email in general is overtaxed by spammers. As a solution, more and more ISPs are blocking email AT THEIR SERVER which means you MAY NOT GET a confirmation via email for your application. (Please print your confirmation page to make sure you have a record of your TeamID and application.)

Internet providers are starting to decide unilaterally what is spam and what is not, regardless of what you - their customers - thinks is spam. A common cause we've discovered is, if you submit applications for multiple teams, and you use the same email address for each, your confirmation emails may be tagged by your Internet provider as spam.

This is frustrating, but now a fact of email life. If you are not getting your confirmation emails and you are certain your email address is correct, DO NOT CONTACT THE TOURNAMENT. There is nothing we can do to ensure the email is RECEIVED, only that it was SENT by our registration system. You should first check to make sure the email is correct, as many times, that is the cause. Then, you should call your Internet provider and start asking questions.

The worst offenders to date are: aol.com, comcast.com, verizon.net, rr.com, wowway.com and yahoo.com. This list will probably grow as spam gets even worse. If you are using an email address from one of these Internet providers, you may want to set up a special email address with another provider for tournaments.

We are doing all we can to ensure emails are able to be sent to you, but you should start checking your Message Center by logging into your team application. If the tournament sends you an email (such as acceptance, registration, schedule, etc) it will ALWAYS write to your Message Center, even if your Internet provider fails to deliver your email.
My club has the same coach for more than one team. Can you schedule those teams so that they don't play at the same time?
We make every effort to accommodate requests like this, however teams MUST make alternate coaching provisions in the event this request cannot be honored.
The application form does not look right on my screen (overlapping drop down boxes, long rows over the input fields, etc.) What is going on?
First, you should let the ENTIRE form load BEFORE you scroll. It is a big form.

In short, your computer does not have enough memory (RAM) available to render the form correctly. Here is the solution that will work in most cases:

1. Clear the cache (temporary files) in Internet Explorer (Usually Tools>Internet Options>Remove Temporary files
2. Shut down Internet Explorer
3. Restart the computer
4. Open JUST MS Internet Explorer.
5. Go to Web site, fill out form.

In most cases, this will solve the problem....
We are not a USYSA Registered Team, what do we need to bring to Registration?
All teams must be USSF affiliated (USYSA or US CLUB Soccer members) or have USSF approval for travel. The materials to bring to registration include two (2) copies of the following:
1) Your Official Roster (maximum # players as permitted by our rules). The Roster should contain birth dates of all players. One copy will be kept on file and the other copy will be stamped as Tournament Approved and must be kept with you for review by the Field Marshall. The Roster submitted at Registration will be the Official Tournament roster and may not be altered during the Tournament. Note that players are only allowed to play for one team.
2) Player Passes (identification cards) for each player (and Guest Player if applicable) complete with photo identification and birth date. If you have copies of Birth Certificates please bring them - although not required, its always a good idea to have.
3) Approved Travel Permit (if required by your Association).
4) Guest Player Roster (if applicable).
5) IYSA Medical Release for each player and completed Waiver of Liability Form.
We love the idea of the 4 game guarantee, but wonder if you'll give consideration to the travel time of out-of-state teams on Sunday?
Of course. Out-of-state teams whose travel is lengthy will be scheduled in such a way that their games will occur as early on Sunday afternoon as possible to enable them to get on the road at a reasonable time.
We want to bring Guest Players, where can we get a Guest Player Roster form?
Illinois teams must submit an Illinois Guest Player Form. Out-of-State teams must use their state guest player forms and have all necessary state approvals.

Log in: Find the tab marked "Get Duplicate Forms" at the top of the page and then locate the IYSA Tournament Guest Player Roster form and click on it. It is a PDF that can be printed to your printer. Then fill it out and bring with you to Registration. If required by your State Association please have it validated. Some State Associations do not require that the form be validated, and in these cases we would simply validate the Guest Roster at Registration after reviewing the Player Passes and your team's Official Roster.
When are the semi-final and final games played
Sunday, April 6. To find out when the semi-final and final games are played for your division, search by division using the search form. Scroll down to the bottom of the list. The games with the teams listed as "Winner X" or "Wild Card" are semi final games. The games listed as "Winner Game ###" are final games. The last game listed in usually the championship game for that division.
When will schedules be posted?
The schedule of play will be posted on-line NO LATER THAN Friday, March 14, 2008 at 9:00 pm CST.
When will we find out if our team has been accepted?
We will provide a list of accepted teams from a link on our website's home page on or before March 3.
